FINALLY! A woman in this town who knows how to sugar correctly! Been so disappointed with the main sugaring operators in Vancouver - they are sloppy and rushed. Glad I found Vancouver Green Spa. Her pricing for the service cannot be beat and she does a great job. Book with confidence!

I've been seeing Mila for the past year, and I can't recommend her enough! I have super sensitive skin, and she is the only person I trust for sugaring. Every other service I've tried has left me with a terrible reaction. Mila takes her time and is incredibly careful, which I really appreciate. Brazilians are never the most fun experience, but she makes them as painless and comfortable as possible.

    FAQ

I have very sensitive skin. Will it hurt?
We get it – no one wants pain. First, sugaring is much gentler than waxing because it removes hair in the natural direction of growth, which reduces breakage and trauma to the skin. Second, sugaring paste is made of sugar, lemon, and water- no harsh chemicals or resins, so it doesn’t adhere to live skin cells like wax does, just to the hair and dead skin cells-this make it less irritating. Also, it’s used at body temperature, so there’s no risk of burn. Most clients say it's way more comfortable, even on sensitive areas.
Is it embarrassing to do a Brazilian?
It’s totally normal to feel a bit embarrassed at the idea of getting a Brazilian for the first time, but the key thing to remember is: you are not alone, and for the professional doing it, it’s just another day at work. Estheticians who perform Brazilians do them all the time-it’s completely routine for them. They are trained to be professional, nonjudgmental, and discreet. You can ask questions, go at your own pace, and let them know if you you are nervous or want to take breaks. A good professional will respect that and help you feel more comfortable.
Will I get bumps or irritation afterward?
It’s possible to get bumps or irritation after sugaring, especially if it’s your first time or you have very sensitive skin, but it’s usually milder and shorter-lived than what you can experience with waxing. Post-sugaring reaction could be: - Redness or mild swelling usually fades within a few hours to a day - Tiny white or red bumps there are usually from hair follicles reacting to the removal process ( call folliculitis). They are common and usually temporary - Itchiness can happen as the skin starts to heal or the hair begins to regrow - Ingrown hair less common with sugaring, but still possible- especially if you don’t exfoliate properly How to Minimize Irritation and Bumps check how do I prepare for my appointment?
I’ve never done it before – what if it’s awkward or I do something wrong?
That’s a completely normal concern—every first-timer wonders the same thing! The good news is: you really can’t do anything “wrong” during a Brazilian sugaring. The esthetician guides the entire process, and their job is to help you feel comfortable, not judged. What If It Feels Awkward? Totally understandable—you’re exposing a very personal area, and that can feel vulnerable. But keep in mind:     -  Your esthetician has seen all body types, hair types, and situations.     - To them, it’s like a dentist cleaning teeth—it’s their profession, not a moment of judgment.     -   Many clients chat during the appointment to relax—others stay quiet. Both are okay.     -  They’ll tell you exactly what to do (like how to position your legs) and be respectful throughout. You Can’t Really “Mess It Up,” But Here’s What Helps: 1.Hygiene     - Shower beforehand if you can, but don’t stress about being “perfectly clean”—they’ll sanitize before starting anyway. 2.Communication     -   Let them know it’s your first time. They’ll likely go slower, check in more often, and explain each step.     -  Speak up if something feels too painful, uncomfortable, or confusing—they’ll adjust. 3. Relaxation     -  Try to relax your muscles. Tension can actually make the process more uncomfortable.     -  Deep breathing helps (and makes time pass quicker!). 💡 Pro Tip You can always ask to see the room/setup before your appointment if you’re nervous. A clean, calm space and a kind esthetician can ease a lot of the stress. In short: feeling awkward is normal at first, but it fades fast once you realize how routine, professional, and body-positive the experience is. Most people feel empowered and refreshed after their first session.
How long will the results last?
Typical Hair-Free Timeline     -    1st week: Silky smooth—no regrowth.     -   2nd week: Still smooth, maybe a few fine hairs starting to come in.     -  3rd–4th week: Noticeable regrowth, but usually finer and softer.     -   By week 4–5: Enough regrowth to get sugared again. The More You Sugar, The Better It Gets If you sugar consistently every 4–6 weeks:     -   Hair grows back finer, softer, and sparser over time.     -   Your pain level usually decreases.     -   Results may start lasting longer, up to 5–6 weeks for some people. Factors That Affect How Long Results Last:     -   Your natural hair growth cycle     -   How long the hair was when you sugared     -   Hormonal changes (e.g., period, pregnancy, stress can affect regrowth)     -   Whether you exfoliate and care for the skin properly afterward ✨ Bonus Tip: To maintain smooth skin between appointments, gently exfoliate 2–3 times a week and moisturize daily. This helps prevent ingrowns and lets new hair grow out without getting trapped under the skin.
Can I do sugaring if I’m pregnant or during period?
It’s Generally Safe     -   Sugaring is considered safe during pregnancy, even in the later trimesters.     -   It’s chemical-free, done at body temperature (so no burns), and less irritating than waxing. ⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind     -    Increased sensitivity: Hormonal changes can make your skin more tender, so it might feel more painful than usual.     -    Positioning: As your belly grows, you may need to lie on your side or adjust positions—experienced estheticians are used to this.     -    Always tell your esthetician you’re pregnant—they’ll adjust their technique and ensure extra care. 💡 Tip: Some people prefer to stop sugaring in the last month, while others like to stay groomed for delivery—it’s personal preference. Brazilian Sugaring During Your Period Yes, You Can     -    It’s perfectly okay to sugar during your period as long as you’re wearing a clean tampon or menstrual cup.     -    Just let your esthetician know ahead of time—they’re used to it and will use extra hygiene precautions. What to Expect     -    You’ll likely be more sensitive to pain during your period (especially in the few days leading up to it).     -    Some people prefer to schedule their appointments for after their period for comfort reasons. 💡 Tip: If you’re feeling crampy, take an ibuprofen 30–60 minutes before your appointment (if approved by your doctor)—it can help reduce discomfort. Bottom Line: You can absolutely sugar during pregnancy and periods—just know your body may be more sensitive. A good esthetician will make adjustments to keep you comfortable and supported.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
You can minimize irritation and bumps if Before Your Appointment     -  Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours ahead.     -  Avoid caffeine or alcohol the day of (they increase sensitivity).     - Make sure the hair is at least ¼ inch long for best results. Immediately After     -  Avoid:     - Tight clothing     - Hot showers, saunas, or workouts for 24 hours     - Touching the area with unwashed hands       Apply:     -  A cool compress if you feel hot or inflamed     - A gentle, fragrance-free aloe vera or witch hazel gel (soothing + antibacterial) Ongoing Aftercare     -  Exfoliate gently 2–3 times per week (after 48 hours).     -  Moisturize daily with a non-comedogenic, unscented lotion or oil.     -  If prone to ingrowns, use products with salicylic acid or lactic acid, but not immediately post-sugaring—wait 2 days.
